If you consider yourself a nature lover, this private tour will take you to two of the most beautiful Slovenian lakes: Bled and Bohinj.
Lake Bled is a renowned tourist destination and a "must-see" place in Slovenia. And for good reason - this glacial lake has attracted visitors for decades with its crystal-clear blue water, a romantic 12th-century castle perched on a cliff high above the lake, and traditional Pletna boats that will take you to Bled Island, home to a picturesque church and a mysterious wishing bell.
Lake Bohinj, located within Triglav National Park, offers stunning views of Slovenia's highest peak. Lake Bohinj is Slovenia’s largest glacial lake, less known then Bled, providing a more tranquil and peaceful environment.
This is a full-day excursion that will start with a pick-up in front of your accommodation in Zagreb. After approximately half an hour of driving, we will reach the Slovenian border (don't forget your passport!).
We will drive part of the way on the highway and then switch to a local road that offers beautiful views of the Julian Alps. Of course, we can take a break for coffee and some rest along the way.
Our itinerary includes 3 hours at Lake Bled and 3 hours at Lake Bohinj, but since this is your private tour, we can adjust the schedule based on your activities and preferences. For example, if you wish to spend more time at Lake Bled, we can shorten the time spent at Lake Bohinj.
At Lake Bled, you can enjoy a Pletna boat ride to Bled Island, visit the Old Castle with its stunning view of the lake, sunbathe, swim, walk, cycle, and savor the famous Bled cream cake.
At Lake Bohinj, if you are in the mood for a moderate hike, visit the 78-meter high Savica Waterfall.
During the hot summer months, you can cool off by swimming or taking a tourist boat on the lake, or perhaps try some local cuisine at a nearby restaurant. You can enjoy panoramic ride in cable car which will bring you at more then 1500 m high peak Vogel where you can admire Bohinj Lake from bird perspective.
Bohinj’s Church of St. John the Baptist from the 13th century attracts attention with its mysterious frescoes. For gourmets, it will certainly be interesting to try Bohinj cheese.
This tour promises an unforgettable experience for those who appreciate the beauty of nature and the charm of Slovenia’s most iconic lakes.
