Less than an hour from Zagreb, on the southern slopes of Plešivica, is the right place for all wine lovers!
It is consider to be smallest wine region in Croatia, but size does not matter - here local people grow original and domesticated varieties such as portugizac, plavec yellow, sweet zelenac and šipelj but also chardonnay, Rhine Riesling, Sauvignon, Traminer and Pinot Noir. Our day will start with a visit to one of the local households, where you will have 1 hour of wine degustation and visit the wine cellar.
After the degustation, we will pass on the other side of hills and continue our tour in the city of Samobor. Accompanied with your guide, you will hear stories about history, traditional crafts, local food, and, like we locals do; have a cream cake and coffee on the main square. Samobor is an excellent place for gourmets, so, if you get hungry, you will have a good choice of traditional food of this area.
