From Zagreb, it is surprisingly easy to step into another country and experience a completely different atmosphere in just one day. Slovenia is right next door, and this tour takes you to its vibrant capital Ljubljana and its most iconic natural and cultural gem, Lake Bled, all in the comfort of a small group experience.

Wanderer Travel is a Zagreb based travel agency, and this tour is designed to give you more time, more comfort, and a more personal experience from start to finish.
The day begins with organized departures from 14 pick up locations across Zagreb, making your start easy and stress free.

Instead of traveling on a large bus, you will be part of a small group of up to 8 guests, in a comfortable minivan. This is where the experience truly changes. Smaller groups move faster, cross borders more efficiently, and avoid long waiting times. You spend less time on the road and more time exploring. The atmosphere is relaxed and personal, and your guide can fully dedicate attention to you.

Your first destination is LJUBLJANA, a lively and green capital that feels both elegant and easygoing.
The city is known for its human scale, rich history, and distinctive architecture shaped by the famous architect Jože Plečnik. During your one hour guided walking tour, you will explore the charming old town and see some of its most recognizable landmarks. The Triple Bridge is one of the city’s symbols, connecting different parts of the old town with its unique design. Nearby is Prešeren Square, the vibrant heart of Ljubljana, surrounded by beautiful historic buildings and always full of life. You will also pass the Dragon Bridge, famous for its striking dragon statues that have become a symbol of the city. Above it all rises Ljubljana Castle, overlooking the city from a hill and offering a glimpse into its medieval past. The riverside promenade, lined with cafés and terraces, gives Ljubljana its relaxed and social atmosphere, making it a perfect place to slow down and enjoy the moment.

After the guided walk, you will have two hours of free time to explore further. This is the ideal opportunity to enjoy a leisurely lunch in one of the many excellent restaurants serving traditional Slovenian cuisine, discover small boutiques, or simply wander through the streets and along the river.

The journey continues to LAKE BLED, one of the most iconic and unique places in Europe.
What makes Bled so special is its picture perfect setting. In the middle of the lake sits a small island with a charming church, the only natural island in Slovenia. Reaching it by traditional Pletna boat is an experience in itself and one of the highlights of the visit. High above the lake stands Bled Castle, dramatically positioned on a cliff, offering panoramic views that are among the most famous in the region. The lake itself, with its emerald green color and surrounding alpine scenery, creates a peaceful and almost fairytale-like atmosphere.
You will have two and a half hours at Lake Bled, giving you plenty of time to enjoy it in your own way. You can take the Pletna boat to the island, visit the castle, walk the scenic path around the lake, or simply relax and take in the views.

Throughout the entire day, traveling in a small group makes a clear difference. There is more flexibility, more comfort, and more time where it matters most. No crowds, no rushing, just a smooth and well organized experience with the right balance of guided sightseeing and free time.
This tour is created for travelers who want to experience more, not just see more.
