Medvednica hill beside Zagreb is a beautiful place, but it holds many secrets.
Taking a tour with us for a few hours will give you an oportunity to go on a exciting ride through the past and to discovere some places that you won´t find in any tourist guide book.
The Markuševac underground tunnel is an underground facilitie built for weapon storage in ex Yugoslavia. Even local people do not know where the tunnels are exactly, and many aren’t even aware that such underground facilities exist only 20 min away from the center of Zagreb.
The Brestovec sanatorium was built in the beginning of the 20st century and it was one of the first places specialized in tuberculosis treatment. This “location” is truly a fascinating, and will give you an idea how Mother Nature works to regain what is hers... brick by brick…. Day by day. It also has a beautifull love story behind it.
On the southern slope of Medvednica nests a picturesque medieval castle which has been watching over Zagreb for eight centuries. It was built in 1254, after the catastrophic invasion of Tartars. Even though magnificently fortified and always ready for battle, Medvedgrad was never attacked. While listening to the legend of the Black Queen, you will be able to enjoy the most amazing view.
